CHICAGO THEATERS - THE CHICAGO

Two other famous theaters still exist in Chicago.  The flagship theater of Rapp and Rapp for Balaban and Katz was The Chicago Theater Downtown.  It is kept up nicely and serves as mainly a live venue as it mostly has always been.  Although it serves as a MovieTheater as well.

In the fifties, I am told, my parents went to the Chicago theater and saw Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis perform.   In the nineties, I went to the Chicago Theater to see Red Skelton doing a final, appreciation tour.  I believe the Theater looked as good then as it did when my parents were there.

Nice Parking.  Today that would get you towed.
